iOS app - In an epic, "Create child issue" adds a SUBTASK instead?

Torley July 5, 2023

Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding:

  • In iOS app, navigate into an Epic.
  • Tap ... > Create child issue
  • It opens a section under "Subtasks" to "Add a subtask".
  • I don't seem to see a way to add it as a child issue instead.

How do I create an actual child issue on the iOS app?

"Child issues" and "subtasks" are different, so this is confusing.

Any enlightenment appreciated!

Hi Torley,

Thank you for reaching out!

I apologise, this is a bug in the iOS app. "Create child issue" should indeed create a child issue instead of a subtask. The team is aware of the bug and will start working on it shortly.

I hope this helps,

Simon

I have the same kind of problem. It says create a child issue when I tap on the option nothing happens... The option "create a subtask" has disappeared.
