Did you mean:

inactive, scratched out

Deleted user February 1, 2018

What about those inactive users, even they are also from AD sync, they can be inactive ?   how ?

once became inactive, they all got scratched on the name, and jira software also display a line like this

  • JIRA Software

I got confused with

  • jira-software-users    as well because those inactive users are actually in jira-software-users

Hi Quan,

Are you using Delegated LDAP?  If so take a look at Create, edit, or remove a user:

JIRA does not deactivate users who are configured and deactivated/disabled in an external Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP-based user directory, with the exception of JIRA users configured with 'delegated LDAP authentication'.

That could explain what you're seeing in regards to the inactive users.  Let me know if that is correct and we'll go from there.  If not:

  • When did you first notice this?
  • What is their status in LDAP, e.g. disabled, etc?
  • What is your directory configuration and can I have a screenshot?
  • Have you changed the directory configuration recently?

Cheers,

Branden
