issue prefix changes when is moved between different boards

Hi All,

Is there any way / settings in JIRA to stop prefix changes when a ticket is moved between different boards?

For example, when a ticket / an issue is created on one BOARD it might be (in DEV BOARD) DEV-123. When we move it to another board, let say BACKEND BOARD, the number changes to BACKEND-123.

You're confusing boards with projects. An issue's key starts with a set of letters (the thing you are calling a 'prefix') that are unique to the project it is in.

A board is just view of a collection of issues from one or more projects, based on a filter, and boards have absolutely no ability whatsoever to alter the keys of the issues they display.
