I am using jira v7.4.2 and I am an admin.
Yesterday, I added a few multi-line text custom fields and configured them as wiki renderer and it worked fine.
Today, I added a few more and configured to use wiki renderer the same way I did yesterday; however, interestingly all custom fields added today are showing as normal text editors instead of rich text editors.
I changed them back to text editor and then again back to wiki renderer but still shows as just simiple textarea.
Is there a limit on how many custom fields I can configure as wiki renderer?
I currently have about 10 custom multi-line texts configured as wiki renderer and I need more.
The answer is to start at the Project level and not the General Settings. Within your Project Settings, go to Fields. Click the little pencil in the upper right and search for you field. Change the Renderers from there to [Wiki Style Renderer].
This is explained more here, as stated by @Bhushan Nagaraj

Hi Andrew,
There are no limits on how many custom fields can use wiki renderer.
I suspect it might be a configuration issue. Can you please try the solution provided at https://community.atlassian.com/t5/JIRA-questions/Troubles-with-wiki-style-renderer-for-custom-field-text-field/qaq-p/265301
Specifically, the field configuration your project is using.
Thanks
Bhushan
