jira port no and tomcat port no is same or not?

Need a clarification wether jira port no and Tomcat no is same or not . we have installed jira and xammp with port of 8080 (for jira & tomcat) . While launcing the jira application we redirect to tomcat page . plz help us to sort out our problem. thanks in advance
