Deleted user March 31, 2015

we use crowd to authenticate using AD. A user has been removed from AD and now we are unable to do bulk updates on the deleted users JIRA tickets. Is there anyway to correct this?

I don't know where to go to check that, can you tell me how?

Hi John,

Have you checked if the user has the global permission in JIRA that will allow him to log in?

I added the user to our crowd internal directory, placed the user in the same groups as a user in the internal directory that can access jira, but I get an error when trying to login as the user.
“anonymous 1014x5459956x2 1dawhhm 10.68.0.51,0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1 /login.jsp login : 'stuart.alexander' tried to login but they do not have USE permission or weren't found. Deleting remember me cookie.”

I have synchronised the directory from user management but it’s not allowing the new user to login even though the user is active in the crowd internal directory.

Hi John,

We never advise deleting users because it might cause issues in your instance. Instead, we advise to mark them as inactive - they won't count towards your license and their information will be still available to changes.

Have you tried to recreate a user in your AD with the same user name of the deleted user? This should allow you to do changes.
