when we import the xml back up in new server , will there be any mail triggered to users as the import is creating the new db.

below document says to disable email notifications as first step when we do restore

Hi Padmasree,

The import action will not send any notifications.
However, other actions can.

The reason we recommend to disable notification and email polling, is to make sure that the system does not start fetching emails and sending notifications, until your ready.

Leaving these service active could cause the current production system to miss messages (since they where fetched by the new system) and send notifications to users, if some modifications are needed.
