Hi,
We have come across a new phenomenon which just started happening recently when I introduced a new template for our Scrum team. on the right pane of all Jira issue types, we now have a Checklist section that seems to be a native addition by Jira and the problem is it adds checklists to all of our issue types (including Epic, Story, Task) which is not as per what it supposed to! look at the screenshot here:
So my intention was to control it completely manually and limit it to only those issues that we decide as a team to add checklists. This issue now also plays a role in the number of checklists we can create globally and causes complaints from other groups who has checklists.
How I can take this under control and stop this behavior ?
Just I add another piece of detail here that I came across this message when I checked the history of the actions happened under Epic level which seemed to happen automatically:
The checklist is coming from the app Checklist for Jira, it is not a native feature in Jira. In most cases you cannot control for which work items the app is shown for, it is usually an all or nothing deal. There are apps that allows you to control on the project level if they should be available or not, and in some cases on the work item.
Hello Ardalan,
If you want full control over which issues in a project display checklists, the Checklist for Jira Cloud addon offers comprehensive options. You can manually assign checklists to specific issues or configure JQL conditions so that checklists are only added to issues that meet your criteria. This prevents checklists from automatically appearing on all issue types.
To be transparent, this is our application. For more details, please see the documentation here: https://docs.appbox.ai/checklist/assigning-templates
