I updated a workflow with a new status. Will it apply for existing tickets or only new? So far, it is not appearing on existing tickets, it follows the previous workflow steps.

Did you add transitions in and out of this new status? If so, do you have any conditions for these transitions?

Did you publish your new workflow? After publication, all existing issues are affected. If you are using Jira Software Server have a look at
