Hello we trying to update Jira software from 8.13.1 to newest version but after installation Jira service disappears from windows services list.
How to solve this problem?
Did you run the upgade as an admin user? Normally the service should remain but I haven't performed an upgrade on Windows since a while.
Anyway: you can recreate the service manually. Please follow the steps on this page under Manually setting up Jira to run as a service.
Thanks for answer. When I try to setup service manually I get "icacls is not recognized as internal or external command..." error. It looks like there is something wrong with environment variables. What variables are necessary for Jira?

I'm afraid I'm not a Windows expert myself.
At what point do you get that error?

Hello,
What Windows version are have you installed Jira on? Is it a server version or a desktop version? And which version number?
Did you also take this information under consideration?
On any Windows operating system with User Account Control (UAC), such as Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must either disable UAC or run 'cmd.exe' as an administrator (e.g. by right-clicking on 'cmd.exe' and selecting "Run as administrator") in order to execute the script in the procedure below. If UAC is enabled, simply logging in to Windows with an Administrator account will not be sufficient.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm afraid that's beyond my level of expertise. Sounds like a Windows issue and not something directly related to the Jira installation.
