one project , multiple boards , mutiple workflow

We have a Scrum Agile project A and that is divided into 4 team lets say A1, A2 , A3 , A4  so i created a Dashboard  for them D1 , D2 , D3 , D4 . all those will use few issue type like ( User story , Task , Bug , Improvements) . Currently all the Dashboard (D1 , D2 , D3, D4 ) uses the same workflow (ie W1).

Problem:

• is it possible to create different workflow like ( W1 , W2 , W3, W4 ) and assign it to the Dashboard ( D1 , D2 , D3 , D4 ) respectively and that specific workflow will be used by the issue types in the respective board.

Im relatively new to jira trying to explore . Any suggestion is greatly appreciated

Hi @prem kumar 

Workflow can be assign to one or more workflows. In your case you can have max 4 workflows assigned to project A. Every workflow will be the same for every team on each boards.

If you want to create specific paths on one workflow for every team you should use e.g. 'User Is In Project Role' workflow condition.

Example:

You create project roles for every team. Then you can "hide" workflow transitions using this condition. Using this you can create many paths on one workflow.

Thanks Sebastian for the information . is there any other way than this .. because Sometimes There are Management people who wants to see all the Boards with Different Workflow for each board respectively.

Do u suggest any other option than this?

Boards will be seperate like now. Only paths on workflow will be different.
