what is the easiest way to get a jira plan with sprint data and only the tickets i want? rather than having to add all the jira boards and remove the unwanted ticket manually.
Hi @Kaushal Patel,
This would depend very much on how you define "the tickets I want" ...
It is quite a common scenario to use boards as the source for a plan, as a board usually corresponds to the work you actually want to plan for your team(s).
Apparently you are trying to build a plan for something else. In that case, the best workaround would probably be to search for the issues you want in your plan through filters > advanced search. Save that search as a filter and then use that saved filter as the source for your plan instead of the board you are currently using.
Hope this helps!

I got an email notification of your update, @Kaushal Patel. If you want a more dedicated plan for your team, it is always possible to import your team board into a plan and use a filter to import just the initiatives that matter to your team.
That way, you would end up with 2 data sources: the filter with the exact initiatives you need and the data from your team board.

i have all my initiatives in one board and linked to many tickets I want to be able to bring in all my linked tickets as well as the sprint data without having to bring in loads of boards
so i want to only see 7 initiatives out of 100s, what is the easiest way to do this

Yes, as I mentioned before: create a filter for those 7 initiatives and use that filter as a data source to pull in just those 7 initiatives.

Not for your initiatives, but I'm sure you don't work on initiatives in sprints. It is the issues at story level that you would need sprints for, not for issues at higher levels of the hierarchy.
