openDatePicker throws error when opening

When i try to open a date picker using the following javascript API function:

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/jsapi/jira/#openDatePicker

An error occurs in the console and the picker doesn't open.

This only appears to happen in the new Jira Issue View. Has anyone else experienced this and if so did you manage to fix the problem?

problem that you mentioned was caused by a bug in Jira and it should be resolved by now. Can you check one more time and confirm that it was fixed?

The exact same behavior has been previously been reported in the  below Atlassian Connect ticket: https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/ACJIRA-1216

However, that ticket was solved long time ago, and I can also see that you already opened a development help request with the ecosystem team and that @Anne Calantog is already helping you in there: https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/DEVHELP-2945

Please answer to the last comment in DEVHELP-2945 and, if possible, once the issue is solved paste the resolution in here so that it will be available to other users as well.
