python api set issuetypes of project

Hi there,

I want to copy a project using the jira python library. When creating an issue in the new project, I get the error of issuetype not existing, since the project I wanna copy contains custom issuetypes. I don't see any way of copying the issuetypes (I can get it, but not set it.)

Do you know if such a function exists? and if not, how would you suggest to proceed (with the goal of copying a project using the python api in mind).
