"Create branch" not linking to created branch in Bitbucket

Hi,

A few months ago the "Create branch" button in the development panel next to an issue would turn into the branch key link after creating a branch, and by clicking on it you would be directed to the branch in Bitbucket. Basically this link was a "smartlink" and uses the branch key as a reference. This stopped working, which is really annoying. So after creating a branch this way the button will still display "Create branch".

Seems I'm not the only one:

Am I doing something wrong? or is this a Jira bug/disabled feature.... Thanks for the help.

Regards

OK, after some help from Atlassian support I was able to fix it.

Goto DVCS settings, link your Bitbucket or Gitlab account if you haven't done so allready. Go to the options menu next to "Visit account" on the right and choose "Refresh repositories". This gave me a list of all my repo's and fixed my problem.

There are 2 possibilities:

1. The branch doesn't have the JIRA issue key in it

2. Application links between JIRA and Bitbucket are broken. Check the atlassian-jira.log file to see if there are any error logs.

Thanks for the response:

1. When I create the branch I clearly see the key as first part of the branchname. After the key, the title of the issue is suffixed, where spaces have been replaced by dashes. Also this structure hasn't changed since it was working.

2. We're not running JIRA locally, but in the cloud. Are there logs available in the cloud version?

Regarding #2, you will have to raise a support ticket with Atlassian. Since it is Cloud, that is the best option to do to explore this issue.

I can't see my team repositories. I can only see the ones from my account. How to I link the Team Repos in bitbucket to Jira?
