I just created a new work project for a team and I noticed on the work item that we now see sections for "Subtasks" and "Linked work items" as shown here:
Is there anyway to have these sections be "hidden" until they have content similar to how Attachments work?
I've checked the Config screen for this work type and, like Attachments, there isn't a field you can drag to a different section or re-order.
This particular project needs to be as simple as possible and having these extra elements on the screen is going to create extra confusion for some of the users of this project.
Issue Linking alone won't ever be used in this project, so there is absolutely no need to have it presented at all.
Hi
There is only the option of disabling globally but not for just a project.
Another possibility is to set all users in a role/group to have no permission for linking issues.
All the best!
Hi @David Quiram, if I'm not mistaken, as of now, there is no option to completely hide/remove those sections from the issue view.
Currently, Jira Software projects have those sections displayed automatically, and Jira service management projects don't, but there is no any native way to remove those.
You can only hide done subtasks (if any) and I assume you already know that, but it's not possible to hide section.
Regards,
Benjamin
