Hi,
One of our Customer's has reported intermittent issues when trying to create a JIRA ticket on our system. The following is what they have reported:
When submitting new ticket, following error was returned by our proxy:
The same happened last week to Michal Lehotsky, then he succeeded to submitt the form.
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://jira.openet.com/secure/CreateIssueDetails.jspa
The following error was encountered:
Zero Sized Reply
Squid did not receive any data for this request.
I'm thinking this is most likely some kind of internal firewall/network or browser type issue specific to this Customer as we haven't received similar reports from other Customers.
Has anyone come across this before?
Many thanks
Mary
I checked with our IT team who came back with the following:
The Orange team, probably has a SQUID proxy in their office.
And it’s their own proxy settings issues, nothing related to our infrastructure.
Refer more here: http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/TroubleShooting#Why_do_I_sometimes_get_.22Zero_Sized_Reply.22.3F
None of our other Customers have reported such an issue so we strongly suspect this is specific to their setup.
Thanks for your response Richie :-)
Hi Mary,
It seems like the inbounce connection between external server to your JIRA instance is having problem parsing the information through.
You can try adding exception on your inbounce connection on the firewall using the ip of the customer to see if this fixes your problem.
Hope this helps, Cheers
