Hi folks - We are using JIRA Software on a scrum board. Company-Managed project. I want to remove the status field or disable it when users are creating new tickets. The status should always be 'pending' when a new ticket is added and we only want users to be able to change the status after the ticket has been taken out of the backlog and aligned with a sprint. Or first idea was to just disable the status field when they're creating a new ticket so they can't change the status to anything other than 'pending'. ...but I'm not seeing a way to actually do this. After the tickets is aligned with a sprint, then we do want them to be able to edit the status field at that time. It's only initially, when the ticket is first created that we don't want them to be able to change it from the default.
Does anyone have ideas on how we can approach this?
Hello @kate reeder ,
Perhaps you can try adding a Value Field condition to your workflow transitions with the below config:-
Users would not be able to perform any transitions until the Sprint field is set.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
