Can we create a report in Jira where we can see estimated time in epic/parent , exclude estimates in stories/tasks but include time spent in stories tasks

Hi @Ivanna Demydiak welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The built-in Time Tracking Report won't meet these requirements as it will only display the hierarchy/relationship between standard issues types and subtasks, not between Epics/Parent and standard issue types.

You'll either need a third-party time tracking/roll-up app or a third-party app that lets you make the distinction between budgeted time from the Epic/Parent Original Estimate and Stories/Tasks/Standard Issue Types Time Spent.

I'd suggest Epic Sum Up, Structure or JXL

Hi @Ivanna Demydiak

Welcome to the community !!

You can write automation rules to populate custom fields for time spent. Or as suggested by Dave you can use a mktplace app to achieve this requirement. If you would like to try out one, pls take a look at

Issue Hierarchy

The app shows your issue hierarchy in a tree view with rolled up time spent at each parent level. The app also rolls up custom number fields if needed.  The app has multiple other features which are very useful in project tracking and management.

(Disclaimer: I work on RVS, the vendor for this app)
