I'm working with a client that's looking to have customized field set up on issues (both new and to show up in existing) that's linked to the start and end dates of whatever sprint that issue is pulled into. This is for roadmapping in the premium instance of Jira in the added Plan feature.
Is that even possible?

What would be the expectations if the issue was actually in multiple sprints?
*I* would find it acceptable and have recommended it as a solution. The client is not thrilled with that idea, but it's becoming more obvious that it's the only one. Thanks!

Perhaps I was not clear with my question.
The request is to have a single Start Date and End Date in the issue that is liked to the start and end dates of whatever sprint the issue is pulled into. If the issue is pulled into more than one sprint, what is the expectation about the dates that would display in the issue? If the custom fields will display only one date each, from which of the multiple sprints should the issue be pulling those dates?
