sprint not removed from the board even after updating the filter

I have a question. I had one jira rapid board. I created couple of sprints in it . But then I updated the rapidboard filter. The issues pulled in the sprint has been removed but sprint is still showing up with no issue. I created another board from same project and sprint are showing up in other board with all the tasks. I want to remove the sprint from previous board. how I can do that?

Hello Ahsan,

Sprint created in particular board will always displayed on that board irrespective of if you have issues added to the sprint or not.  This is the way you can create a new sprint in a board and assign issues. - when you create a new sprint there are no issues assigned to it.

The same sprint will show up on other boards, if issues within the scope of that board is assigned the sprint created on another board.    This is because sprints are also independent of projects.

In your case, you have to delete the sprint in the original board and create a new sprint in your other board.  It is a good practice to create the sprints in the respective boards and also follow a naming convention that reflect the project.
