timeout error with scriptrunner

We are trying to implement a script in script runner to copy a custom field value from epics to its child issues ( might run in 1000's)

The script is giving us a timeout error even though we have tried to filter as much as possible. 

Is there any way we can make it work? using a parameter or a different add on or maybe running the script outside scriptrunner 

NOTE: 

The script is triggered when a custom field value changes in epics and copies that value to all the child issues ( stories, bugs etc)

Hi Pasminkaur,

I can confirm that in order to help resolve the timeout issue you are having then I would advise you to raise a request with our support team located here.

They will then be able to advise how your script can be modified and may be able to look to increase the timeout limit for your instance as described in the documentation page located here.
