we're running jira server v7.1.7 and there is a project that I can't find the physical attachment files for when looking at attachments folder. I can see all other projects, just not this one. I can see them when looking at the jira issues, but I can't find those files when looking at the raw folder hierarchy. Is there anywhere else they could be other than the folder specified by the attachment path in configuration setup? I've looked through all other project folder under attachments thinking that perhaps the project was renamed at some point, but so far no luck finding the attachment ids specified in the exported xml file for a given issue. I see lots of other attachments for the other projects, it's just this one that seems to have hidden/redirected files. Is there some type of a holding folder in the case where there are indexing problems or some other type of system problem? It's really weird that I can see them through jira UI, but not in the folders I'd expect them to be in. Isw the full path stored within the sql record for the issue that I could extract?
Thanks,
Jay
Problem solved. Attachments were found, the search just took forever. The project had in fact been renamed, AND halfway through its life there was an upgrade to 7.x so the attachment folder hierarchy changed as well. Good to find them safe and sound....
