validate if there are stories in an epic, without add-ons

I have an epic with an open state, at the moment of moving on in progress I need to validate if that apica contains any user history

This is unfortunately not possible without any addons. You would need something like scriptrunner to be able to do this. If you dont have access to any addons my best solution (which is not very effective in instances with a lot of projects) is just to watch the epic in the backlog like this: 



I understand that this isnt a good solution, but it works if it's just a couple of epics you need to check.
