If Issue A duplicates Issue B, which one should be considered as the primary issue, A or B?

Hi @luo-yuanfu welcome to the community.  Issue A would be the primary issue since issue B is a CLONE of it.

Hi @luo-yuanfu   Welcome to Atlassian Community!

When you Clone an issue, CLONE prefix added automatically to the new issues. You can check Link Type to see which issue is Cloned and which one is original.

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/clone-an-issue/

In Original Issues, you will find "is cloned by" Link Type, under this add issues are Clone of the original issues.

Thanks,

V.Y

HI @luo-yuanfu

Welcome to the community.

Look at the created date of the issue, this would provide the information on which issues was created initially.

Or if the issue is Cloned, you can still see in on the created date, but there will be a link between the issues by default, using the link type "Clones"
