which user type can access Create version apart from admin?

Every team member in my squad needs access to Create version for a release. Is it restricted to admin users only?

You can assign the "project Admin" role to the person who wants to create the version this permission is different than "Jira Admin".

You need a plugin to separate project administrator and version management permissions.

Choose who will be able to manage the versions right from the project permissions page.
