We've recently had a change applied in the Jira UI to display Filters, among other items, in the left menu. When logging in, Filters is automatically expanded for me and part of that is Recent filters. This expansion takes up almost the whole left menu and includes Filters I didn't create, update or ever interact with. The UI visual is very cluttered with pages I don't want to see listed in the left menu. I have two questions:

  1. Why do Filters show up under Recent that I have never used? A Google search says it shows organizationally shared Filters but why would I care what someone else is using?
  2. Can you add functionality so that I could remove Recent or at least not have it automatically expanded since the list of Recent filters takes up so much space in the left menu?

Thanks.Jira Filters.png

Hi @andyj

Welcome to the community.

Clear you cache and cookies, you should not end up in filters then when logging in.

Starred ones are once you like or have created, when you create a filter its by default marked as a favourite (starred).

Recent ones are the once used in the last 7 days.
