Hello,
Can anyone recommend a plugin or process for exporting all of my Jira issues to Excel with *all* of the associated metadata (not just the fields visible on the normal export). I know jira holds some calculated fields like durations and whatnot that aren't included in the export templates for CSV.
The use case: I'd like to create an automated process to capture this information at regular intervals and then dashboard certain data elements in Excel that Jira just cannot do.
I could recreate the fields I'm looking for as custom fields, I suppose, but that seems like it should be unneccessary.
Thanks for any tips you might have?
Hi @Jason Jones
You can try our app to extract all your Jira project issues (all fields) using JQL and import them into Excel. You can also schedule when these exports should occur even down to 10-minute intervals, or change the delimiter used on the file for use on other systems.
If you need more time to evaluate our solution, feel free to reach our support team for a friendly chat. Our goal is to free up administrator time for more important tasks, so you can start getting things done right away.
@Jason Jones The Better Excel Exporter app can export not only visible fields, but all non-empty fields, comments, worklogs, change history and possibly any data from Jira. It even supports calculated fields, pivot charts and other advanced Excel features.
See a large collection of export samples here: https://midori-global.com/products/better-excel-exporter-for-jira/cloud/export-samples/
Lots of teams are using it in production, it has more than 5800 installations at the moment.
(Discl. it is a paid and supported app developed by our team. Free for 10 users!)

Hi @Jason Jones ,
You can try out our Excel Online Integration add-on. It supports direct downloads of Excel files or Jira data can be directly exported to OneDrive/O365. Exports can be one-time, scheduled, or real-time You can export rich data (not just what is visible) to create more sophisticated reports (Jira issues, standard fields, custom fields, field mappings, Worklogs, Metadata, Assets, Changelogs, Projects, Sprints, Users, etc.). Everything directly controlled within Jira. Give it a try.
Kind regards,
The Mobility Team
