Hi,
We have an instance of Jira Server 8.7 with a Oracle Database. Since a first moment (some years ago), we experimented errors with the database connection such as leaking connections, downtime due this database errors (connection limit exceeded) etc.
So, we decided, to migrate to another database.
Is SQL Server 2016/2017 a good choice? I read in old forums (around 2013) with the same question, that was not a good choice, but the new versions of SQL Server looks to be betters than previous one.
I hope this answers your question, all supported platforms for Jira 8.7:

Hi @Tinker Fadoua . Thanks for the reply. I'm aware of the supported platforms. But, my question is, between all the supported databases, which is the recommended to use?

@José Ignacio Durand for one of my previous customers SQL Server 2016 was working without issues. I hope this helps.
If you have any other questions please let me know.
