Hi!
I'm looking for a plugin(s) for Jira Cloud which will give me following features/integration with our self-hosted GitLab:
If anybody could share any tutorial or articale or recommend some plugins, I would really appreciate it. I'm doing this for the first time and after some reading still not sure what to choose.
So there's really only one main plugin to check out initially and that's GitLab for Jira Cloud, developed by GitLab themselves: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1221011/gitlab-com-for-jira-cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
I would check this out initially and review it's features vs your use cases, as it'll always provide the best integration support given it's developed and supported by GitLab.
Hope that helps - Steve.
Adding to @Steve Long -Evelon- ,
This plugin fulfills all the use-case with Gitlab.com (Cloud SAAS), not sure if this works with the self-hosted GitLab.
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/4984/git-integration-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview This one works with the self-hosted instances, but is a paid Add-on.

I work for GitKraken, the company that supports Git Integration for Jira and our plugin has what you look for:
Create Merge Request from Issue view
See link and status of created merge request
Jira issue link in GitLab MR view
As @Jehan Bhathena it works with self-hosted GitLab instances.
Feel free to review our help center site or you can contact us directly here.
You can get the plugin here.
