I'm trying to import Redmine projects using the latest Redmine importer using Jira 5.2.4
On step 2 I should be able to select Jira projects from a dropdown menu, however the menu is empty and the 'edit' link next to it doesn't do anything.
I'm logged in as a Jira administrator with all rights, ditto for Redmine, retreiving the list of projects from Redmine seems to work fine, but I can't get past step 2.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this ? I really want to get rid of RM as soon as possible.
Just an additional information, we have documented this behaviour on the following KB: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Multiple+Redmine+projects+with+the+same+name+will+lead+to+error+when+importing+to+JIRA
cheers,
Immanuel
Hi,
This issue (https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/JIM-890 ) was resolved with version 1.0.8 of Redmine Importer. Now when two Redmine projects have the same name the second one have name appended with underscore.

With help from Immanuel Siagian (Atlassian) we found the problem.
Redmine has the concept of 'sub-projects', make sure the subprojects in Redmine have unique names before attempting the import in Jira.

fwiw, I just upgraded my Jira test instance to 5.2.5, this doesn't fix my issue.
