Referring from server to jira topics created in cloud

Riccardo Fanciulli November 15, 2018

Hello,

we're going to partially move to using Jira in the cloud, but we would like to still be able to link issues created in project C (in cloud) to other issues created in project S (on the server).

An example would be:

I create a parent issue in project C and I would like to link to it a few children that are created and handled in project S.

Is it possible? could you refer me to some documentation about this?

Thank you!

Riccardo

You can create issues links between a Jira Cloud site and Jira Server site.  However to be able to do this, you first have to create an Application Link between the two sites.

Once you have created this application link, you will find that the issue linking in Jira will have an addition option in the link creation screen to select the Jira site to use.  Typically this setup will require that your user has credentials to be able to login to both sites.
