Regarding Migration Jira Server Jira Software version 7.1.2 to Jira Cloud or Data Center

we're currently using Jira Software version 7.1.2, and our Jira Software maintenance has expired, we're exploring the possibility of migrating to Jira Cloud or Data Center. Could you please advise if it's feasible to migrate with our current setup, or if there are specific guidelines or steps we should follow for the migration process?

Hi @Sandip Bhosale 

To make jira migrarion to cloud you need to use Jira Cloud Migration Assistant. This tool is very useful and helps a lot with that. Based on that page (https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/update-or-install-the-jira-cloud-migration-assistant/) JCMA require Jira 8.14. There is a note that you can manually install it on Jira 7.6 but it is still higher version that you have.

What you can do:

- install trial DC license on Jira

- upgrade Jira to 8.14+ (best scenario) or 7.6

- install JCMA app

- make migration
