Let us look at the JIRA throws "Could not save attachment data from stream" when attempting to add attachments to issue first to determine if we can solve the problem through the suggested resolution of fixing the permission of the directory.

Can you please let me know how the image attachment goes once that is done? If that does not help, can you run provide the snippet atlassian-jira.log when you reproduce the issue? Thanks.
