Release Management in Next-Gen Project

Hi all, the simplicity of the next-gen project is refreshing, but I'm not sure if it is too simple for long term JIRA users like myself. 

The Roadmap feature is a big plus to see all the Epics on a timeline, but we normally park Epics under Versions for our releases.

It seems like the Release Management features such as creating versions are gone? I have to create a new issue type now under project settings, but I can't include epics under it.

Has anyone figured out how to do this? I hope the JIRA just hid it somewhere but not removed it completely :)?

Versioning has not yet been added to NG. It isn’t that they have hid it but rather not yet added. NG is new SW from ground up.
