Release burndown of fixed-date variable-content (rather then fixed-content variable-date)

Hi all,

I'm using JIRA Agile for quite some time now. Our teams are working on fixed cadence of 3 month releases. Lately, I found myself looking at the release burnup/burndown graphs and every time I see that the predicted date got our of the release cadence, I try and adjust the content (we are working by fix-date approach rather then fix-content approach). 

This is were I realized that what I really need is a release-graph that will have a fixed date. Every time the content can't be applied for the specific time, it will indicate which content is out of scope (selecting the lowest priority items for the release and mark them as de-scoped, based on their story point sizing). 

Does anyone know if there is such an option? if not, I might send enhancement request for that.
