What is the best way to show the Release planning when using the Scrum and Kanban agile boards?
Do we have to use the Classical View for Release with the charts there or is there any more better way of showing progress for burndowns in releases like the use of Jira Wall Paper and adding some more gadgets.
What would be nice is to see a Realease planning with a timeline
Hi there,
I have tried the Wallboard plugin from OnDemand at Atlassian, but some of the gadgets don't work well.
Like the one GreenHopper Classic Statistics burndown chart seems to be missing a value for field, and what's the difference of the On the FLy and Default value.
The GreenHopper Classic Project Progress seems not to show the number of Todo, Progress and Done correctly, the Progress bar is only yellow even if there are number of issues in todo, progress and done in the Agile Project. Her the Roadmap is more useful.
and the GreenHopper -Classic Hour Burndown chart shows only one line, but not the line for the hours spent.
And the Agile Gadget seems to have the same problem to show correct values, all are in progress and they are not...
Please advice if there is something missing in betweeen Agile Scrum and Classic way of showing Release of versions graphs and progress bars, and all User Stories are set to a Fix version for the same Agile project.
Thanks in advance,
So the charts in the Kanban/Scrum menu is not what you want? The menu has moved to the right in the Kanban and Scrum board.
You can also install the wallboard plugin to view progress with gadgets.

Carsten, what do you mean "install the wallboard plugin"?
What plugin?
We are using Jira/GH on Demand, and have the same situation - classic board for the manager (for analysis) has much much more functionality compare to new Board.

I have no clue about how the On Demand works in regards to plugins. I use the downloadable version of JIRA and therefore can install the Wallboard plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jirawallboard.atlassian-wallboard-plugin
