Hi all
I have a potential issue that I can’t understand/explain which I will describe as ‘Remaining Estimate Update Duplicate Entry’…..
Work log entries were created by one of my team as part of his work logging. The ‘Time Spent’ and ‘Remaining Estimate’ were updated accordingly.
Subsequently (~4 minutes later) the history shows 4 entries where the ‘Remaining Estimate’ is updated again. These updates mirror/match the previous worklog entries but were not driven/stimulated by logging work.
This is hopefully highlighted on the images below (1st from JIRA and the 2nd a view from Excel)
The yellow entries were created by one of my team on 4th July (@ 12:09, 12:10 & 12:13) as part of his work logging. The ‘Time Spent’ and ‘Remaining Estimate’ are updated accordingly.
Subsequently (on 4th July @ 12:17) there are 4 entries (highlighted red) where the ‘Remaining Estimate’ is updated again. These updates mirror/match the previous worklog entries (colour coded orange/green/light blue/dark blue) meaning an extra 29.75 hours is removed from the ‘Remaining Estimate’ in error.
My colleague is 100% convinced he only logged time and didn’t edit the ‘Remaining Estimate’.
What could have caused this duplication of the update to the ‘Remaining Estimate’? Has anyone seen or experienced a similar issue?
I should add that we are using Jira Server v7.12.1 with Tempo v9.4.1 for our time tracking.
Thanks for your time.
Charlie
