Remaining Time is automatically overwritten by some JIRA setting

My Jira is auto-updating the remaining Estimate field. In the screenshot above, I performed action 1 of updating 1d to 4d but action 2 of updating 4d to 1d was auto performed by JIRA. In history, however, it's showing that I performed that action, which is untrue.

Thanks for reaching out and the behavior you are seeing looks like there is possibly an automation rule or workflow post function clearing the remaining estimate.

If the action is simply editing the Original estimate that triggers the action go to the project settings > Automation and look if there is an automation rule causing the change.

Alternatively, if the Original time estimate is being changed on a transition, then check the post-functions of that transition for a 'clear field' action.
