How do I hide/remove the Create button on the top level menu for JIRA Service Desk Cloud? I know you can remove it from the Create Issue permission.
You could adjust a users permissions to have Jira remove this, but that would require you to do so from all projects on this instance as it pertains to that user.
It might be possible to do with an injected javascript, but the problem with that is that it appears that the Cloud platform for Jira might not continue to provide that feature soon. So that might not help.
Could we get a bit more background on why you might want to hide this?
I know that when it is associated with a service desk project, people tend to want to keep their Agents and other Core/Software users from creating Jira issues in that project using that button because they are not created with a request type. And without that, lots of other functions in Service Desk do not work correctly, like SLAs, customer portal usage, etc.
If that is the reason, then I would recommend this KB: Automatically set Customer Request Type When Issue is Created via JIRA. With these steps you can use automation to create true JSD issues even when users select this method of creating issues.
If this is not what you are looking for, please let us know more about why you are trying to hide this.
