How do I delete/remove user from Jira that is inactive. This user was populated from AD but does not have access to jira anymore and was jira administrator. I need to delete it. It looks like user still count to user license count.
Installed Optimizer for Jira and it fix problem on scan.
To delete a user, go to the user list as an admin, and click delete.
However
1) If that user has written certain types of data into the system, you can not delete them, as you would break all sorts of things if you removed them
2) Even if you changed that data to other people, you would still breaks some minor stuff, and have potential audit issues.
3) Don't bother, just disable them so they don't count and forget about them.

Hi Miroslav,
Inactive users do not count towards your user license counts. See this previous post for more information.

You can not delete the Unmanaged user. Delete is only applicable for a managed user.
