Remove automatic watching all created Jira issues

Seems like the version of Jira we have has a feature that automatically sets me to watch an issue I have created?

If so, it's really annoying, since it's flooding med mailbox every time the developers change a state, enter hours, change assignee, etc.

Is there any setting per user that can turn this automatic watch on or off when creating issue, or must I remove the watch for every new issue I create?

Hi, this is a per user setting in your user profile. You can turn it on/off there.

Has this being changed? I don't see an option to turn this off anymore. Can you please be more descriptive where I can find this?
