Removing Unrelated Sprints from "Sprint" field

Is there a way to remove sprints not related to a specific project from that project's Sprint field? This allows Stories created under one project to be added to a Sprint in another project, and this is undesirable.

Hi, Anatoly.

The regular behavior of JIRA Agile is to show every sprint in the Sprint field. As far as I know, there is no way to change that and a college senior engineer thinks so too. The boards are not directly restricted by project, only by a filter. The filter tells what issues show be displayed in a board and you can restrict by project in the filter, but that would not restrict an issue to have the sprint displayed in its sprint field.

You can always make an improvement request here: jira.atlassian.com. Maybe you can ask that if an issue is not displayed by a board's filter, the sprints in this board should not appear in the issue's sprint field.
