Hi,
We're currently testing JIRA for our software factory. In order to interact with our customers in the development of new requirements, we created a workflow with steps involving customer actions (like testing and approving requirements). But we want to hide all the information regarding with the work reported to the issue in JIRA. So we customize all the screens of the customer actions in the workflow in order to hide all the fields for work reporting. Nevertheless, in the summary screen of the issue, in the work job tab and in the activity log, both of them in the activity section, the customer can still see the work reported. We want to hide this information in the customer actions but we couldn't find a way to do that.
Is there any way to hide information of the summary screen of the issue for certain users or group of users?
Regards
Hi Victor,
I as know unfortunately it is OOTB not possible to hide worklog from the view issue screen.. There was already a pretty large discussion about this on one of the JIRA tickets and Atlassian will not implement this feature..
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-2364
If hiding specific fields is critical for your company, then the only way I see is to use commercial plugin Field Security for JIRA - https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugin/details/23216 that was developed for that specific purpose.
However this ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-27613 Alternate JIRA Views could be a light in the tunnel in the future to achieve that. You can vote for that feature it if you like.
I hope that helps.
Regards,
Mirek
