Reopened tasks resolution set to done?

Maxime Lacasse January 27, 2022

Hello,

So I imported a workflow as a starting point and something that was annoying me was how whenever a task was reopened, the resolution was set to "Done". I have created a post function to clear it on each transition but I am wondering what is the main cause of this? Is it some other script part of the workflow that I did not see?

The imported workflow is CSSSR. Would I be better of making a brand new workflow instead of using a pre-existing one?

Thank you! :)

@Maxime Lacasse

The CSSSR workflow should be ok if it fits your needs. When you click the Closed transition a screen will pop up and let you select the resolution. This is the only place I can see where you can set the resolution beyond the reopen transition. When you reopen from closed status which is the only place that you can do it, the same screen will pop up and let you select the resolution. If you want the resolution to just clear when you click reopen a post function that sets the resolution to "None" should work. If you go this route I would create a new screen for the reopen transition and remove Resolution from there because the post function will write over any selection made.

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Maxime,

Take a look at the history for the reopened issue to see when it was originally set to Done. It might be that it is on the Create screen if you see no notation of it being changed.
