Report on what JIRA issue my resources are working on

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Reporting

I am looking for a free reporting add-on that will allow me to know at a glance what JIRA issues my resources are working on at that point in time.  This will support me being able to stay on top of when they need work or when they are overloaded.  Thank you!

You'll need to start with a definition of "being worked on".  Is there something wrong with "in status X, Y, Z" and a simple dashboard gadget to show that broken down by assignee?
