Reporter Notification - Jira Software Project

We are having a problem with the following:

  • We get request from customers in Service Desk Project.
  • In Service Desk we can respond to the Reporter, he gets the message.
  • Some requests we move to a Software Project with "move" options in Service Desk.
  • In Software Project the customer is still Reporter, but now he doesn't get e-mails when we add comments.

How can we make this work in Jira?
We want to inform customers of updates on bugs entered in Software Project.

Hi @Marco Leoné [MusicReader],

You can not make it work without additional add-ons.

That you can respond to a customer is a Service Desk feature.

If you want this on a non service desk project, the customer must be a licensed user to receive notifications. 

There are add-ons like email this issue that might add the functionality you seek.
