I'm attempting to create issues with a reporter that matches the ServiceNow user that created the initial ticket. Although the reporter field is available as an option for the Create Issue action, it doesn't seem to accept any of the values I'm providing
Based upon the XML data I'm seeing in Jira, it looks like it wants a specific sys_id. I was hoping there was a guide somewhere that would help me with this that I was just overlooking.
Any help is appreciated!
I have found a solution, although I hope it is short-term.
Jira is looking for a sys_id value, for the reporter, but does not share these values with ServiceNow out-of-box for the Jira Spoke.
I have manually imported the values and will either need to maintain these myself or come up with a triggered/scheduled solution.
@sidPLakin hi! Did you manage to resolve your issue? If you're open to the idea of trying external solutions, check out ZigiOps - you can find it at the Atlassian Marketplace here. It's a no-code integration tool that connects and syncs Jira/SNow's data. You can tweak it to fit any current use case. No additional coding is required. Check ZigiOps out and see if it would work for you.

Syed,
I appreciate the suggestion, and it might work, but these solutions appear to require the IntegrationHub Enterprise package, which we do not have, and I do not want to purchase additional licensing to utilize the existing license we have for the Jira spoke right now.
I'm exploring what can be done with our existing licensing so I can report back our options to my leadersship. I will reserve this as a potential option in the future though, should it come to that.
Thank you again.

Very welcome @sidPLakin !
Happy hunting. If you are looking for solutions, I would urge you to look at our tool Exalate as well.
Thanks
