Reports in Jira

andrea June 19, 2020

Hi to all :)

Is there a way to receive weekly report with:

- issues that have been resolved or closed (in the
- issues that are still on (in progress, on hold...)
- no of issues per person
- list of the issues per person

to our email?

Reports in Jira as a part of the project are not so helpful.

Thanks,

Andrea

Hi Andrea, mostly yes. First let me note that your first requirement seems to have stopped short.

I recommend that you leverage one or more filters and set up a subscription for each. Here is an article on this - Save-your-search-as-a-filte

so if you want a weekly report for all issue closed during the week I would set up the below filter to run every Friday evening and email your team.

  • project in (a,b,c) and resolutiondate >= startofweek()

for those still open ...

  • project in (a,b,c) and resolutiondate is empty

for number of issues per person the best option is to use the 2 dimensional gadget on a dashboard and for list of issues per Again use the dashboard. I would stick with the same 2D gadget for both as the user can click on the number to see the list.

First, create a dashboard with the following gadgets:

The gadget called Filter Results will solve these use cases:

- issues that have been resolved or closed (in the
- issues that are still on (in progress, on hold...)
- list of the issues per person

...while the Issue Statistics gadget (or its 2D version) will solve this one:

- no of issues per person

When the dashboard is created, automatically email the dashboard to your mailbox every week!
