Hi Team,
This is regarding the restoration of a JIRA instance.
I tried to restore the xml backup of JIRA instance 3.13 on the JIRA instance 4.4.5. However , I am unable to restore it. Whenever I try to restore it . Whenever I try to start JIRA,
I am getting few errors which I have attached with this form.
When I try to restore it , it is getting stopped at 5 %.
Thanks and Regards
Dhananjay M.Mukhedkar
Those are really old versions of Jira, but they are still in the phase where "export xml, import xml" was a recommended route for upgrades (From memory, you're in the time-frame where Atlassian had not got the upgrade-via-installer right, so were not recommending one route over another)
However, the error message you have posted is about plugins not loading. This can be down to broken data, but is far more likely to be about resources. Plugins fail to load when the system is too slow to get them started.
Try giving the plugins longer to load
In setenv.sh (or .bat) in <jira install>/bin, look for the collections of parameters that have -D at the front. Add
-Datlassian.plugins.enable.wait=300
to the list, which gives the plugins longer to load. You may also want to try increasing the amount of memory available to Jira.

Hi @Dhananjay Mukhedkar ,
JIRA xml backup needs to be restored in the same application version, that being said it's expected that trying to restore in a higher version result in error or data corruption;
This is an old JIRA version and if you want to upgrade you must follow an upgrade path, I recommend you to reach an Atlassian Partner to assist you with this task.
